My Tech Path
I had no idea what I wanted to do in High school but had an amazing IT teacher who inspired me to study IT at University.
I started out on Helpdesk and have done various roles over my 20-year career such as training, Major Incident Management (which I loved) but knew early on I wanted to work with customers and aspired to be an IT Service Delivery Manager.
I have now progressed into an Account Director role, but still loving problem solving and collaborating with customers, internal staff and vendors from all walks of life.
Even though my role can be quite challenging at times I’m always looking for ways to improve, deliver with excellence and am one of those strange people who genuinely love their job and building relationships with people I work with.
The best advice I’ve received
The Universe unfolds as it should.
One of my best friends gave me this advice when I was overthinking and worrying about things outside of my control in my twenties.
What would you tell your 15 year old self?
Worry less about what other people think and more about what you think.
